Live Nation wants to save you $$$ this summer!

Ok, so perhaps it doesn’t qualify as a super awesome action that makes these ticket mongrels appear much less evil, but it’s a start. On June 3rd, aka this Wednesday, Live Nation will eliminate service fees on more than five million lawn tickets and hundreds of concerts for its amphitheaters. The catch? The promotion, described as the biggest one for concert tickets ever, will last only 24 hours, meaning once the clock strikes midnight on June 4th, you’re shit out of luck…

…But take not of the “s” following the “y” in the promotion’s title - “No Service Fee Wednesdays” - and Live Nation’s plans, via Billboard, to have a series of these type of consumer-friendly Wednesday throughout the summer. So, if you miss out on scoring fee free tickets for Nickelback or Brad Paisley this week, more opportunities are coming, because, as  Live Nation Ticketing CEO Nathan Hubbard tells Billboard.com, “We know the fan has been frustrated by the series of successive fees in the purchase process.”

Kind souls you are.
