Late Night Lobotomy (Week of 6/8)
Last week was a big week in TV land. It was Conan O’Brien’s debut as host of The Tonight Show, and as an avowed fan, I naturally think he did a good job. A little shaky at times, but definitely a step in the right direction for the show. Any show that premieres a new Pearl Jam tune is awesome in my books.
In comparison, this week was rather uneventful. However, the new lineup is quite sweet. Perhaps we’ll get some one-armed push-ups from Gwen Stefani when No Doubt stops by Kimmel, while the immensely awesome P.J. Harvey and John Parish rock Letterman’s stage. Green Day fans should also be pleased, as you get three - count ‘em, three! - nights with Carson Daly. I won’t complain about any of this!
