I hate to be that guy, but who is NKOTBSB?

  • Zack Zep

Cops?  Where?  I never had a problem.  Have fun at the electronica heavy crapfest.  Bonnaroo has a variety of music no other festival offers.  And only some of the artist push computer buttons.

I heard a joke today that was not only forced irreverence, but also terribly unfunny!

An absolute great read!! I worked for a summer program last year and during arts and craft time I would try to impose my music on the kids! Had basically the same experience you did and realized that hey it doesn’t matter if I had to hear that “I want to be a billionaire” song a billion times a day, it made the kids happy. Plus didnt have to hear the kids bitch and moan over LCD soundsystem.

  • Christopher

I do the same in my English classes, but I have never imposed any restrictions on what we listen to. Although, it was very hard to stomach some shitty single from Pink when it was requested. We have to remember that the reason we are here (there, and anywhere) is to encourage discussion and teach the English language.

Just saw that Justin Townes Earle had an off day on the 6th between Dallas, TX and Minneapolis, MN. Probably just windshield time, but it would be awesome if he played this year.

Just because his music is not to your taste doesn’t mean others can’t enjoy it. I think you have been taught a valuable lesson that you shouldn’t impose your own biases on others. I don’t know why you assumed that your taste in music is superior to others.

Did you read the entire article? She realized that at the end. Moreover, she obviously has a larger knowledge base in the area of music than a five year old. This is a great article.

I agree with you lancelotlinc, the sound quality is lame…just listen ton the Ted Templeman produced albums which are bright and punchy.. The new cd is also overmodulated. I lowered the db’s  and eq’d evey track with my coole edit software and now the tracks sound clean and punchy as MP3′s!!

This morning I posted about the leaked poster from Sunday (http://psychexfutureheart.wordpress.com/ ).  As the day has progressed I have become more confident that even if it is a hoax the line-up it lists is very close.  Inforoo strongly suggested Phish, Radiohead, RHCP and Prince are headlining (as is listed on that poster).  Jack White, The Shins etc… Take a look and then we can check back tomorrow to see if it was real or not…

Been to 5 of the last 7 Bonnaroo’s. I have no doubt that the lineup will be sick as hell. But with Roger Waters touring The Wall in the midwestern States at the very same time as Bonnaroo, if he’s not there I will be extremely disappointed. I mean, when’s the next time Waters will tour, especially tour The Wall? Probably never The Wall again, and no tour for a few years. The Wall would be the perfect soundtrack to the atmosphere of Bonnaroo on a summer night on a farm in the middle of nowhere Tennessee. Make it happen AC Entertainment and Superfly. Don’t tell me you can’t afford it.

good lord, could you imagine a 1:30 set on the What Stage after Radiohead? I don’t think I could handle that.

I would love to see a dvd of this concert.

I hope it is going to released soon?

  • Ardentbiscuit

Glen Campbell, Excision and  MNDR. I think country dub step with a female singer would be interesting. You could have a combination of line dancing with shuffling.

    Phish FTW

  • Albert Lucas

Childish Gambino, Danger Mouse, Chris Martin. It’d be interesting!

  • http://consequenceofsound.net Alex Young

    This doesn’t even make sense.

    • Anonymous

Yeah, it does. Meant festival of the decade, not year. Usually you guys have that free thread or whatever when a lineup is about to drop. I’m just surprised there’s not even an article that Bonnaroo’s lineup is being dropped tomorrow.

      • http://consequenceofsound.net Alex Young

        It’s still early.

  • nathanfairchild
