Late Night Lobotomy (Week of 6/22)
In my humble opinion, 2009 has been a downright delightful year for music. I could already make a great top 10 of the year list, and we’ve still got six months to go. That, to me, is a rousing success.
I’m also used to my favorite acts of the year getting the shaft from TV programs. Well, many of them grace the stages of some public television programs, but otherwise I’m reduced to watching YouTube concert clips. This week, however, I’m pleasantly surprised to see some deserving acts grace our TV screens. The ever fun Phoenix visit Kimmel. St. Vincent hits Letterman and hopefully shows America that she can work that guitar like nobody’s business. And Grizzly Bear will be…well, Grizzly Bear with Fallon.
Here’s your Late Night Lobotomy.
