Is a live album from Michael Jackson’s final rehearsal coming?
Maybe, reports Sharon Waxmon of the Hollywood blog, The Wrap. Just in case rumors of 100 unreleased songs, a new album and a Jackson family tribute tour weren’t enough for you, Waxmon, citing “several people close to the now-defunct concert tour,” reports that Michael Jackson’s last rehearsal at the Staples Center on Wednesday, the night before his death, was recorded in multi-camera, high-definition video and multi-track audio, and could be released in the coming months.
Wednesday night’s rehearsal reportedly featured hours of Jackson performing his “greatest hits” while backed by dancers, musicians and aerial performers. “At one point, Jackson was suspended on a crane; at another, there was a 3D view of “Thriller”-style haunted mansion, that required the audience to put on special glasses,” Waxmon notes.
The live CD/DVD could serve as a way for AEG Live, the concert promotor that was putting on Jackson’s 50-date “This Is It” London stint, as a way of recovering the millions it is set to loose following his untimely death — Reuters (via Billboard) reports that AEG Live plans to refund all tickets for the O2 Arena London shows.

fantastic idea, i’d love to see it. I live and breathed MJ for so many years and now he is gone i’m heartbroken. Even silly pictures in the sun newspaper with his kids made me really really sad!!
I think selling stuff to get his kids raised properly and pay off his houses & debts will be a great idea and let the family live in peace without everyone bombarding them all with MJs death
Right now i’m listenin to that Leave me alone song…makes sense. I really did feel sorry for him, you can hear his pain in his songs, and these concerts were what killed him anyway
RIP MJ, your are left alone now!!!

Someone has listed MichaelJacksonsFinalAlbum.com On ebay for $94,000 The same lister has MichaelJacksonsFinalRehearsal.com This item has been listed for 1 day and already has over 1000 hits!!! Its the most popular website being sold on ebay that has to do with michael jackson! Does this mean there will be a final album in the future? Will a record company buy these website names! Seeing that Thriller the album is still #1 in the world could this new album make history! I saw your report about Michael Jackson’s Final Album and thought this story will definitely make news headlines!

death = someone is gone, we cannot have any more of them in the future = everyone wants to remember them, and also be spared a bit of dealing with “he’s gone”. I know. My brother died at 24. We were so happy with every little writing we found we didn’t know of, books that we discovered with his signature funny notes in the margins etc.
There is no reason not to make money on his stuff to pay off some of his debts: the tickets were sold, Neverland is a mess, he has kids who need to be raised etc. It isn’t like he died debtless and AEG or anyone else will be lining their pockets with free money. All the people who worked to put this show together: the musicians, the dancers, the lightpeople, the makeup people, the ushers in the theater: all them were ready to work for months starting next week. All these people SHOULD have their work seen, they should be paid for it through sales of these dvds.
And you’ve got to be crazy. Only available at Neverland? Now THAT would be exploitive. No one can see it unless they can travel across the world to some theme park. I don’t think MJ would be so thrilled.
I, for one, would love to see what he was working on. Apparently new stuff about global warming. Songs that he PLANNED for the world to see, a show that he PLANNED to have thousands enjoy. It isn’t like they are publishing his private personal letters, or selling his pyjamas or home videos of his kids to get money. They are putting the work of a music professional who lived for his career, before the public where it was meant to be by Michael Jackson himself.
I would buy the dvd it would be a good thing to release, maybe put it on youtube so that people are not forced to pay for it
I think this would be a very bad idea for AEG I think Michael’s fans would see it as opportunism of the very worst kind, which would tarnish AEG’s reputation. I think a much better choice would be to preserve Neverland, turn it into a museum dedicated to his legacy and show the footage exclusively there.
death –> money
the progression is so sad.
RIP MJ. Forever in our hearts: http://tinyurl.com/fanreactionpics
