Well, we’ll find out come September 22nd. On that day, ATO Records will release the band’s self-titled debut, an album which is intended to serve as a formal introduction for the quintet. “It’s kind of a desperation album, a darker album; it’s definitely angrier. We’ve been in a crazy place during the whole album and you can hear that,” explains frontman Petter Ericson Stakee.
Like all good indie bands these days, the album was produced by Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Dead Confederate, Heartless Bastards) and mixed by John O’Mahony (Depeche Mode, Coldplay, Kasabian) at the legendary Electric Lady in New York. Alberta Cross will support the release with a yet-to-be-announced North American tour this fall.
