Another week, another new album from Mr. Jack White. However, unlike his previous ventures with The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather, Alicia Keys, and Thom Yorke, this time around, the 33-year-old rocker looks to be going at it solo.

At least that’s the message White conveyed when he mentioned in a recent interview with Music Connection (via TwentyFourBit) that he hopes to start working on a solo album by the end of 2009. No specific details were shared other than the fact that he’s not really a fan of Pro Tools, so don’t expect the solo album to be made with Pro Tools.

In the meantime, White will be extremely busy with The Dead Weather – Horehound is due out next week, while the North American tour starts soon after that – and his label, Third Man Records, which is currently seeking non-Pro Tools using artists who want to record just singles. “Right now I’m really trying to get involved in 7″ deals. Two-song singles. Classic 45 and mp3 versions as well,” White notes. (Sorry, Prince!)
