Wale finally ready to release debut LP
Wale hasn’t much of a trouble making for a name for himself in recent months. He also shouldn’t have much trouble selling his debut LP, Attention: Deficit, when it hits stores on September 22nd via Allido/Interscope.
“Debut album?,” you’re probably asking. Yes, despite the fact he has got to hang with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, collaborate with Lady Gaga, been deemed the “greatest rapper since Jay-Z” and received much love from the website you are currently reading — Adam Kivel told you to Listen, while his The Mixtape About Nothing made our Top 100 of 2008 list, the rapper born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin has yet to officially release his debut full-length. Why? We can’t say…
What we can say is that Attention: Deficit looks to be a doozy. Allido Records founder/Grammy Award-winner Mark Ronson, Cool & Dre, Sean C & LV and Dave Sitek of TV On The Radio all had a hand in the album’s production, while Bun B, Jazmine Sullivan, OG, K’Naan, and Marsha Ambrosiu all make guest appearances. In other words, it will probably be worth the wait.

between this, cudi, rhymefest, jay z, and lupe… obviously hip hop is gonna have a HELL of a second half of 2009.
Can not wait. Back to the feature is gooood, too.
