Strokes frontman readies non-Strokes release

Even with his main outfit busy recording a new studio album, or so they say, Strokes’ frontman Julian Casablancas has apparently found time to record his own solo album. It’s called Phrazes for the Young and is scheduled for release this fall via Cult Records/RCA. It was produced by Jason Lader and Mike Mogis, recorded in Los Angeles, New York City and Nebraska and features tracks titled “River of Brake Lights”, “Glass” and  “Ludlow St”. Casablancas plans to announce a special series of U.S. dates shortly, to be followed by a solo tour later in the year.
