50 Cent’s Before I Self-Destruct gets new release date, is perfect

Recently, 50 Cent took some time to discuss his much-anticipated, much-delayed — it was originally due out last February (of 2008) for Pete’s sake! — new studio album, Before I Self-Destruct, with MTV.com. Among the details divulged include word that the album is now due for release on September 29th — as opposed to September 14th — and the fact 50 believes it is “perfect.”

“I’m ready,” he said. “I’m ready to put this album out. I really don’t need adjustments. I need a few songs to be finished, mixed. Dre, he drags his feet. He’s slow, but it’s because he’s so creative. He’s gonna make sure it’s perfect.”

If only I had a quarter for every time I heard that… well, I’d certainly have more than 50 cents, that is for sure.
