Is it just me, or does it sound like a few artists — I’m not going to name any names! — announce the release of a new album before they actually have begun working on it. Then, when the release date approaches and the album isn’t even close to being done, the release date is pushed back… and again… and again.

Which leads us to Ms. Mariah Carey, Mr. Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Mr. Lil Wayne, all of whom have apparently had their forthcoming studio efforts pushed back AGAIN.

Carey‘s Memoirs was originally slated for release on August 25th, however, now you’ll have to wait until September 15th (maybe) to get your hands on it.

“Diddy” is apparently waiting for his peers to get done with their respective works before he unveils Last Train To Paris. “It’s Jay-Z time and Drake time — enjoy those guys,” he told MTV.com. “But the ‘Train’ is coming, baby… Get your ticket, you don’t want to be left out.”

And Weezey, well, I don’t think anyone really knows when the rock masterpiece known as Rebirth will be hitting shelves.

So, while the mainstream muck continues to clog our air waves, at least it’s coming at a slow, slow pace.
