Dirty Projectors announce new EP
To say 2009 has been a good year for Brooklyn’s Dirty Projectors would probably be one of the biggest understatements of the, well, year. After all, over the last 12 months, the band has released a five-star album, single-handedly saved the cassette tape industry, and got to be really good friends with David Byrne.
But even after all that, the Dirty Projectors are still working… really hard. On September 8th, the Brooklynites will unveil a brand new EP, titled Temecula Sunrise, on Domino Records. Included will of course be the title track and “Cannibal Resource”, both of which come from Bitte Orca, as well as two previously unreleased selections called “Ascending Melody” and “Emblem Of The World”.
The Projectors will support the release with a few engagements overseas. For their sake, let’s hope they won’t have to get on any buses during this time.
Temecula Sunrise EP Tracklist:
01. Temecula Sunrise
02. Cannibal Resource
03. Ascending Melody
04. Emblem Of The World
