Green Day issues singles boxset

It was bound to happen sometime or later: Green Day’s going to have its own singles box set. And unless you’ve been in a coma for the past 15 years, you’ll know how many hits this trio carries. Now, for the first time ever, that little record player of yours will be able to rock out to the Oakland boys’ best.

Over 21 7″ vinyls, Green Day’s 42 hits will be available for fans and collectors everywhere. Everything from “Going to Pasalacqua” to “21 Guns” will be stuffed in one set, all for the lovely, lovely price of… $150 dollars. Yikes, right? Well, you win some, you lose some.

For those interested, and with a rather luxurious and savory spending spree, pre-order now. Then again, we are in that recession of sorts. Oh well.

  1. I’m not sure how I feel about this. I’m considering buying it, but then again I could just buy the early EPs on eBay for ten bucks instead of paying $150 for the early stuff.

  2. You could buy all of Green Day’s quality albums (Smoothed out Slappy Hours through Nimrod and Shennanigans if you’re feeling limber) for less money than that.

  3. But they look so pretty. Haha.

  4. I can’t imagine how anyone would even consider paying $150 for a bunch of songs that sound remotely the same on a back-to-back scale. $150? Really?

    False.
