Update: Jay-Z samples Regina Spektor on new song!
Update: We’ve received confirmation that the song will be included on an upcoming special edition of The Blueprint 3. A release date has not yet been set.
Because no introduction can really give this news justice, let’s just get right into it…
Jay-Z has recorded a brand new song titled “Crispy Benjamins”, which features the production work of Mirk of the New Familiar Music Group and the vocal talents of the one and only Regina Spektor. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, according to an issued press release, Ms. Spektor’s song “Chemo Limo” will be sampled on the track (Mirk as well as other members of New Familiar Music Group attended the SUNY Purchase Music Conservatory along with Spektor).
No additional details were given, but according to ReginaSpektor.org, “Crispy Benjamins” will be included on a re-release (maybe deluxe edition?) of The Blueprint 3, which is supposedly due out later this year.

Why?!!!???!!
Can’t wait to hear it!
i’ve heard the beat that they are talking about.
Mirk’s production with Regina Spector’s vocals makes for an awesome track. I can’t wait to hear jay z on it.
Def! Who is this Mirk guy anyway?!? Pretty damn smart to bring these two genres together!
I can see that being a cool hook/sample to use. She’s got rhythym too, glad to see her in the hip-hop game a bit
