Update: Kanye, Gaga tour called off
Update: Live Nation has confirmed the tour is officially off. Refunds will be issued. Sigh.
If you believe reports, Lady Gaga no longer wants to kill Kanye West, she just wants to drop out of her upcoming, co-headlining tour with him. According to Media Take Out (via The Daily Swarm), the duo’s “Fame Kills” tour may be called off as soon as tomorrow, apparently because Gaga no longer wants to participate.
I guess fame really does kill, eh?
That said, we do find the news a bit odd considering not only the fact tickets already on sale, but just yesterday Gaga was defending West. Of course, we’ll keep you updated.

@ bobbyrisigliano - no, no….i was just making the point that peaches opening for gaga was a dumbshit comment. gaga owes her entire existence to acts like peaches (and lords of acid, pj harvey…you get the point).
i don’t think that peaches needs (nor wants?) to play with kanye (or gaga for that matter). she’s her own animal…just the way her fans (including this old man) likes her to be. i do find it interesting that amanda blank is opening for her upcoming show here in SF. i like AB a lot and noticed tinges of Peaches in her jams when i saw her play the rickshaw recently. that will be a fun and interesting double-bill. opens the door for some interesting walk-on possibilities.
@GeezrRckr: As I do agree with you on almost every point you made. I really doubt Peaches would play Big Arena’s with Kayne West. She usually plays smaller venues and I think she likes having that size of fanbase. She really plays to the crowd. If that crowd has 25 000+ I think her live show would not be justified. Oh and you think the majority of Kayne West fans have enough tact to actually get what she’s about? I think not.
to the anon proofreader who thinks gaga walks on water:
…”bring along… peaches…” you must be fourteen since you certainly don’t know jack about who rules the roost wrt female pop stars. Gaga would give one of her nuts to have half the game that Ms. Nisker (Peaches) has been bringing for over a decade. She is talented, genuine and everyone knows it. Gaga will be a footnote in this whacked out year for music where Peaches will still be bringing the sexy jams well into the next decade.
Aw, lame.
Wow, that sux. Was lookin’ fwd to it since Glow In The Dark was so good.
we’ll see what we can do up here to get you some sort of certificate?
i hope she does decide not to tour with him. she should tour onher own and bring along some other female artists liek peaches, amanda blank, etc.
I’d like to think so.
eh? really. Alex are you an honorary Canadian?
