LCD Soundsystem covers Alan Vega for new single
To celebrate Record Store Day’s Vinyl Saturday on November 7th, LCD Soundsystem has covered Alan Vega’s song “Bye Bye Bayou”, from his eponymous 1980 solo debut, and will share it on that day as a brand new vinyl 12″. The single will be released by DFA/Virgin Records and will be available at your favorite local Independent record (list here).
It will also be released worldwide through all your standard digital channels on the 24th of November. So, if you don’t have a record player, you’re still golden.
Do note that this cover will not appear on LCD Soundsystem’s forthcoming studio album, which is due out sometime early next year.
