Bonnaroo details <i>Live from Bonnaroo 2009</i> DVD

While a few festivals have already begun making plans for 2010, Bonnaroo is still reliving its 2009 festivities. On December 15th, the Manchester, TN based music festival will share select memories from the most recent edition of ‘Roo with the release of the aptly titled DVD, Live from Bonnaroo 2009.

Included on the DVD, which will be presented in 5.1 surround straight from the Bonnaroo master tapes, will be performances from headliners Bruce Springsteen, Phish, and the Beastie Boys as well as indie favorites Passion Pit, Cage The Elephant, and The Decemberists. In all, the release will feature 16 of the festival’s performers.

  1. @Kevin It had to be a double disk when the festival catered to jam bands. They wanted to get more than 3 songs on it.

  2. I get the feeling that in trying to capture a few artists from the various musical tastes the festival caters to, in winds up pissing everyone off. I was in attendance, and out of my top 5 shows, none make the cut.
    No question a dvd covering an event like this is an impossible task, but even when the festival was mainly catering to jam band fans, the dvd was a double disk release.

  3. I can’t figure out why this can’t be much more expansive. This is pretty disappointing, it’s not like they don;t have complete video of nearly every performance and we get around 1/10th
