Metallica has been touring incessantly as of late, and we will soon have video evidence to prove it — at least, beyond the live footage for “Broken, Beat & Scarred”. Taken from their stop in Nimes, France and working with an entirely local crew (from art design to set-up), Frances Pour Une Nuit (translation: “French for one night”) is the end result of Metallica’s live performance… and they’re keeping it real. Meaning, this package will only be available from the shelves in France.

However, fans can still purchase this precious metal import by going to Metallicanimes.com (that is “Metallica Nimes”, not “Metallic Animes”) via Universal Music and naturally through Metallica.com.  Set for release in France on November 23rd, the DVD will be sold in three fashions:

• Deluxe Limited Edition Box with a DVD/Death Magnetic CD/T-Shirt/Laminated pass and lanyard/Five exclusive photos

• Standard DVD in digipack/one DVD including two hours of the show, 37-minute interview with the band, five videos from the audience/16-page booklet

• Blu-Ray DVD/one DVD including two hours of the show, 37-minute interview of the band, five videos from the audience/16-page booklet

No word yet on whether or not Nick Moranis has inquired about the band’s current knowledge of French language, but on the lighter side you can get Death Magnetic with your DVD purchase. That is, if you opt for package one and weren’t one of the impatient thousands who caught the early album leak originating en francais — so to speak.
