Fall Out Boy readies greatest hits collection. Seriously.

Ok, so we can live with a Foo Fighters greatest hits album. And albeit a bit of a stretch, Snow Patrol does have a good 15 years under its belt. But Fall Out Boy? As Gob Bluth would say, come on!

On November 17th, Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman, and Andy Hurley will celebrate their eight year existence with the release of Believers Never Die. In addition to featuring the “greatest hits” from the band’s five full-length efforts, the 18-track collection will include two new songs — “Alpha Dog”, which will also server as the band’s next single, and a cover of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”. The release will also sport a DVD with 14 Fall Out Boy music videos, each of which will have commentary from the band.

“This album feels like our high school graduation yearbook,” the band’s statement reads. “Kinda makes us wanna write ‘don’t ever change’ or ‘have a great summer’ here.”
