Watch: Kings of Leon - “Notion” (Live)

As the title indicates, the following is some nifty live footage of a King of Leon performance. If you’re a reader of this website, then you could probably guess that said live footage is from the aforementioned band’s three-night sold out performance in London this past summer, the one which was recorded and will be released on a brand new DVD titled Live at the O2 London come November 10th (for DVD) and November 24th (for Blu-ray). Think of it as a preview.

  1. It just amazes me that they are playing in front of this many fans on their tour. This is something I thought they would do way back when I saw them play with the secret machines in front of maybe 600 fans. It makes me sad that they just don’t play with the same passion and energy like they did when they played in front of those 600 people. It almost seems that they are scared to make a mistake or want to produce a certain sound that every song is just a notch slower which saps into their passion and energy.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for them and the fact that they have hit it big and are making a shit ton of money. I guess that’s every rock band’s goal but I want my old kings of leon back. They made me so happy every time I saw them or read something about them in the past. I used to tell all my friends or anyone that would listen to me to grab one of their cds (Youth and Young Manhood and Aha shake heartbreak). Now when my friends, most with zero musical taste, call me to make fun of me because they just heard sex on fire on B96. If you’re from Chicago, you know it’s not good for any band to be playing on B96.

    Just venting… thanks for listening.

  2. In Mexico we scream more…it was awesome!! I love them

  3. is there supposed to be a video here somewhere??
