Well, it’s about time! After almost four long and excruciating months, Moby is finally ready to reissue his 2009 classic, Wait for Me.

Kidding aside, we can’t say it’s not odd to hear that the acclaimed musician is already reissuing an album that was originally released on June 29, 2009. But what we can say is that even despite its oddity, the three-disc Wait For Me Deluxe does sound incredibly cool.

Disc one is the original 16-track album plus two new, previously unreleased bonus tracks (“One Time We Lived” and “Stay Down”), which Moby recorded especially for the deluxe edition in August 09 in his NYC home studio. And here’s a fun fact: The track titled “One Time We Lived” will be the next Moby single released digitally, which will happen on December 8th.

Disc two is billed as an ambient version of the original album, consisting of 16 brand new interpretations of the original tracks, re-interpreted and re-recorded by Moby.

Disc three is a DVD featuring of live highlights from Moby’s 2009 summer European festival dates, an animated EPK, and interview with Moby, plus five videos for songs from Wait For Me, including David Lynch’s animation for “Shot in The Back of the Head”. The DVD also includes 16 “blips” (30 second animations for each of the tracks on the original album).

Moby will support the release with a currently ongoing world tour. Expect something like this. Oh yeah, and as an added benefit, proceeds from the California shows will go to help support victims of domestic violence via the California Partnership To End Domestic Violence.
