Surfer Blood is a group of four guys — frontman John Paul Pitts, drummer Tyler Schwarz, gutiarist Thomas Fekete, and bassist Brian Black — who met randomly on “one fateful night” at an after party for Miami’s Ultra Festival and originally recorded their debut full-length during their Freshmen year at the University of Florida, using musical equipment purchased with scholarship money.

Now, that same foursome is gearing up to release that debut full-length, titled Astro Coast, on January 19th via Kanine Records and a lengthy U.S. tour that includes an appearance at the CMJ Music Marathon and support stints for Art Brut and Japandroids. Not a bad success story, eh?
