Pixies release free live EP

The release of digital downloads featuring professional recordings from their 20th anniversary Doolittle reunion extravaganza is not a new concept for the Pixies. Giving them away for free, however, is.

And beginning right this very second, Frank Black and Co. are doing just that, having made the Doolittle 20th Anniversary Live Sampler, a four-track EP featuring recordings from the band’s October 16th performance in Paris, available for free download (via TFB). Just type in your email address over at pixiesmusic.com, and you’ll be jamming away to “Dancing the Manta Ray”, “Monkey Gone to Heaven”, “Crackity Jones”, and “Gouge Away” in no time.

If you’re one who prefers listening to live music in person, there is still time for that as well. The band recently embarked on the North American leg of its Doolittle tour. Find tour dates below (at this point, we recommend Craigslist for tickets).
