Check Out: Pet Shop Boys cover “Viva La Vida”

Not to be outdone by Rivers Cuomo and Co., the Pet Shop Boys recently announced plans to cover Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” as part of a new five-track Christmas EP. Thanks to Idolator, we now know that said cover consists of quite a bit of synth, the usage of a drum machine, and enough glitz to rival a house full of tinsel.

The aptly titled Christmas EP will also include a new version of “All Over The World”, a reworked version of “It Doesn’t Often Snow At Christmas”, and a cover of Madness’ “My Girl”. It will be available beginning December 14th via Parlophone.
