Beyonce to pop off next album in the new year

Beyonce to pop off next album in the new year

If you’re quadrillion times platinum artist Beyonce, you don’t have to do much at this point. Hang out with that talented husband of yours, go to a few parties (or an indie concert), and enjoy the good life. But not one to rest on her laurels, Ms. Knowles is ready to hit the studio come 2010 for the follow up to her smash I Am… Sasha Fierce.

According to Billboard.com, Beyonce told the crowd at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham (her last stop on the “I Am…” tour) that, “This is my last show for this tour in the UK, so hopefully, I’ll see you all in a year with a new album”. While details are almost non-existent at this point, producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins confirmed via Twitter that the man behind everyone from the Pussycat Dolls to Whitney Houston would be working with the Queen B.

Not enough to tide you over? How’s this? Alicia Keys confirmed to Billboard that the duet between herself and Beyonce, the aptly titled “Put It In A Love Song”, would be featured on Keys’ new album The Element Of Freedom, out December 15th. A nice tease of sorts.

More details to come. Here’s hoping those include a Grizzly Bear guest appearance…

  1. You know, I don’t think it would kill her to take a year off and just chill. I mean, I know she’s a hard worker, and I respect and admire that, but there is such a thing as overdoing it. She is just finishing up her tour, you mean to tell me she’s gonna head back into the studio and record another album? Her last album wasn’t even any good, maybe she could benefit from stepping away from the music scene for awhile so her creativity can rejuvenate itself, and focus on other endeavors. She said she wants to be the first African-American to win a Tony, an Oscar and Grammys. Well, she’s achieved one of those several times over, she can stop for now. How about she brushes up on her acting, and participate in some indie films, maybe do theater work (no musicals, please), it would really be good for her.

  2. YAY! can’t wait..she really is the hardest working woman in music industry..
    Alicia+Beyonce=AWESOME
