Set ‘Em Wild, Set ‘Em Free is not only the name of Akron/Family‘s most recent studio release, but also a good way of describing the band’s 2009 as a whole. After all, the New York City outfit did spend a good part of the year supporting the album by hitting the road. That’s as wild and free as you can these days.

Anyhow, come February, Akron/Family will look to continue this trend when they embark on a 12-date, mostly Southern U.S. tour. Also worth noting is the fact that the group will be joined on the trip by rising folk stars Warpaint. That’s as good as you can get these days.
