Back in July, we told you about the uncertain future of Britain’s Bloc Party. And while their recent tour-ending show at the Reading Rivermead Centre (where they promised shows for years to come after a short break) has us excited, there’s still time to kill before more releases. Enter frontman Kele Okereke’s future solo album.

According to NME, producer Hudson Mohawke recently told BBC Radio 1xtra that he is working with Okereke on an album. Other than that news flash, Mr. Mohawke had few other details to share.

“It hasn’t been finalised yet, but I’m doing a bit of stuff for Kele from Bloc Party’s solo album,” Mohawke said. “He’s doing a record with one of the guys from Spank Rock.”
