Brian Jonestown Massacre streams brand new album for free online

There’s no mistaking that in the musical career of Brian Jonestown Massacre, there have been some odd decisions made — after all, that’s what you get with all the post-modern recontextualism going on. But in a move that is arguably genius, the band’s website is now hosting 13 bizarre video clips featuring songs from its forth coming release, Who Killed Sgt.Pepper?, in all their streaming glory.

Of course, when it comes to something this awesome, there always is a catch. In this case, there’s some confusion as it relates to the order of the album’s tracks. According to TinyMixTapes.com, a tracklist in the exact order as the songs on the website was posted on the band’s MySpace. However, the blog has since been removed, leaving a bit of uncertainty regarding the finality of the tracklist.  So, take the one below with a grain of salt, people.

What is certain is that the album will be preceded by a four track EP entitled One. According to the band’s label Cargo Records, “The first two tracks on the EP are from the forthcoming album & the other 2 are exclusive to this release. The vinyl is coloured orange & is 180 grm audiophile pressing.”

Remember, you can immerse yourself in the awesomeness at the band’s official site, or sample some insanity below. The EP drops November 23rd and the album is scheduled for January 1st, 2010.
