Livetronica fans rejoice! The Disco Biscuits are spreading the love… and the holiday cheer with an upcoming tour supporting their new EP, On Time. They’ll be hitting both coasts: starting off in California, giving Philadelphia some hometown thanks-giving in the days after Thanksgiving, before heading to New York City for a five day stint at the Nokia Theater in celebration of the New Years. This tour will no doubt aid in building anticipation for their full-length album Planet Anthem, which is expected to be released in February of 2010.

Planet Album, will be the band’s first LP released since Señor Boombox, which hit the shelves in 2002. Both the album and the new EP, On Time, are said to represent an evolution for The Disco Biscuits, who have been writing and recording with Don Cheegro and Dirty Harry (Ludacris, Fantasia, Chris Brown). While this electronica jam band is no stranger to integrating hip-hop into the mix—past performances have included featured acts from Snoop Dogg and Nas—this release will no doubt add yet another dimension to an already eclectic band.

Despite the eight year waiting period, fans have not been left high and dry. In addition to the release of their EP On Time, they’ve already released the song “You and I”, from their full-length album which is available now for free streaming online here. “On Time” can be purchased online on iTunes and at livedownloads.com for $4.99, or at any of their upcoming live shows.
