In addition to the forthcoming solo release of his latest effort, Reality Killed The Video Star, Williams is also eying a reunion with his former bandmates.
As you may remember, Williams, along with Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, and Mark Owen were member of the British boyband act known as Take That throughout much of the early 1990s. In 1995, Williams left the band, going on to forge his a successful solo career. The remaining members of Take That would disband one year later only to return as a quartet in 2006 and to reestablish themselves with two successful albums, Beautiful World and The Circus.
In conjunction with this, the band’s original lineup looks set to reform. Next week, Take That and Robbie Williams will share the stage for a “one-off” Children In Need concert. And as it turns out, this may only be the beginning of what is to come.
When asked in an interview on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, Williams said of a potential reunion: “We’ve got together, done bits and bobs. I can’t say much, but yes, I hope so.”
Video Killed The Reality Star is out November 9th in the UK, and November 17th in the U.S.
