It’s only been, say, seven months or so since The Thermals dropped their latest effort, Now We Can See, but it seems that the Portland trio’s already prepping its follow up. This morning, Pitchfork Media reports that, “Next month, the trio will head into Portland’s Jackpot Studios with Death Cab for Cutie’s Chris Walla producing,” and that the record will surface next year, on September 7th.

How’s that for a promotional push? Hey, no complaints here, we’ll take anything Thermals-related. Anything. It’s just… so far off.
