Remember when Liam and Noel Gallagher split up, forever marking the end of Oasis? And then Liam started a new band with everyone from Oasis except Noel but promised they still be “getting away from the whole Oasis thing”?
Well, so much for that. Liam has since returned with more details pertaining to his new project and guess what? They’re not only working under the name Oasis 2.0 but basically still sound like Oasis 1.0.
“It ain’t a new direction,” Gallaghar explained to News of the World. “We’re not making reggae music or rap music. It might have a bit more energy and be fresher. It’s not going to be that different.” Talk about creativity.
Oasis 2.0 hopes to make its debut release next summer.

ok, lets face it, Liams not the best singer in the world. But nobody cared, its the songs that everybody loved about oasis. noel wrote almost every song oasis sang. im sorry…but i just cant see oasis 2.0 doing any good without noels brilliant songwritting.

Liam Gallagher was one of the defining voices of the return of brit-pop in the 1990s. Key words in that sentence are “was” and “1990s”. As for the other musicians you mentioned, I believe the words are “glorified sidemen”?

I can expect Oasis 2.0 being a complete bore fest. I look forward to Noel’s solo album though – incredibly talented man he is, and he was right to leave Oasis.
