Well, well, well. As if the winter blues seemed like they’d begin to grow with each passing hour, Gothenburg, Sweden indie sensation El Perro Del Mar offers a ray of sunshine right in the middle of it. Clicking alive on her mini-album, this year’s Love Is Not Pop, and the lead single “Change of Heart.” El Perro Del Mar aka Sarah Assbring, offers a temporary winter relief in the result of a 13-date North American tour starting on none other than Valentine’s Day in what we dub “the Tens.”

While Love Is Not Pop is picking up some sonic waves over here in the States, Assbring also managed to score a Swedish Grammy nominee in the process. That’s also right up there with fellow Swedish indie rockers Peter, Bjorn & John as well. Not bad for a little girl from Gothenburg!
