Kaki King to offer fans a preview of next year’s goodies in Brooklyn

It hasn’t been long, but guitarist and singer-songwriter Kaki King is ready to follow-up 2008′s Dreaming of Revenge. Due for release in Spring 2010, the forthcoming effort, tentatively titled Junior, is currently being worked on with producer Malcolm Burn at his studio in Kingston, NY. Luckily for her New York fans, the wait to hear new material is just around the corner, as King has announced that she’ll be debuting new material at her gig at Music Hall of Williamsburg come December 12th.

The catch? The Brooklyn show is King’s only American date for the remainder of this year. Shortly after, she’ll be heading Down Under for a series of shows in Australia and surrounding areas. Her itinerary includes stops at the Woodford Folk Festival, Fall Festival, and Southbound Festival.

Opening for King at the New York show will be A Rose Parade, which includes Shannon Funchess of !!! and Gerard Smith of TV on the Radio. What a gift!

“It’s beginning to look a lot like…”
