According to Billboard.com, the album will finally see release after a total of six different release dates, with the first back on April 7th, 2009. Of course, the news of the rumored June delay came just weeks after the album was accidentally shipped to 500 Amazon pre-order customers. But don’t fret (or get two comfortable with that leak); just last month, Young Money president Mack Maine tweeted, “Leaked 09 Rebirth isn’t going to be 2010 Rebirth.” In other words, expect Rebirth, upon its actual release, to feature new tracks. And yes, that means even a higher resell value for those lucky Amazon buyers!
Let’s hope the time until the release is a quiet one. We’re not sure how much more excitement we can take. But if you’re ready for more, enjoy the video for “On Fire” below.
