The Brian Jonestown Massacre to conquer known world with 2010 tour

For its latest album, neo-psychedelic rock band The Brian Jonestown Massacre asked Who Killed Sgt. Pepper? Seems as if such a mystery involves some heavy detective work in the form of a massive world tour. We’re beyond intrigued.

The band starts things off on February 18th in Australia, kicking around Down Under until the beginning of March. The European leg begins on April 16th, and it’s a steady shot throughout countries like Paris, Switzerland, and the UK before the band hits North America in late May. They wrap things off with 20 or so shows stateside with the final date scheduled for June 22nd in Los Angeles, CA.

The band’s follow-up to 2008′s My Bloody Underground sees the return of guitarist/founding member Matt Hollywood, who left the band in 1998 after Strung Out in Heaven. The new album also features Spaceman 3 bassist Will Carruthers and Icelandic vocalist Unnur Andrea Einarsdottir.

Who Killed Sgt. Pepper? is scheduled for release on February 23rd. Tickets for the North American leg are available at Ticketmaster.com.
