Widespread Panic preps new studio album

In anticipation of what will be another summer full of tour dates and festival appearances, Widespread Panic is currently hard at work on its 11th studio album, the band’s website has revealed. For the yet-to-be-titled follow-up to 2008′s Free Somehow, the Athens jam band has once again teamed up with producer John Keane. A late 2010 release is expected.

In the meantime, the band has begun mapping out its summer plans, which so far include a three-night string at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC, and appearances at the Wanee Music Festival and New Orleans Jazz Festival.
