Having played all the major markets in support of their recently released Humbug in the latter part of 2009 (evidence here), the Arctic Monkeys are now ready to hit those locations often forgotten. Yep, Florida, you’re getting some love!
Following a currently ongoing European tour, Alex Turner and friends will return to the States this April for two weeks worth of tour dates that will take the band to such stops as Miami, Orlando, Baltimore, Tulsa, and Covington, KY. As of the tour is set to end on April 15th in Tempe, AZ — which of course is just a day and a few hundred miles away from the 2010 edition of the Coachella Music Festival. Late addition?
Tickets for the new dates are set to go on sale beginning Friday, February 12th (Valentine’s Day present?) via Ticketmaster.com.

Coachella make this happen! Looks like a natural lead in to Cultures, or visa versa/ It does look more and more like it will. Last saw them in Philly last Sept. The show was pedestrian, but the songs are great and sound great live.
mikeynopants—The Monkeys played Chicago 3 times (Metro, Lolla, Riviera) in 2009 so I’m not surprised they are not headed back in our direction on this leg.
no chicago? wtf?
Hmmmmmm. Wonder if we might see them get added to the Coachella lineup. You have to get suspicious when a tour stops in Arizona the day before it starts and doesn’t feature an LA date.
NJMiami… come on bud…. haha dude we finally got some good shows down here
Livenation finally listened to the fans around here (now hopefully they will show)…
All of these are at the Miami Fillmore in April
4/1 Arctic Monkeys
4/9 Of Montreal (supposedly)
4/18 Black Keys
4/28 Band of Horses
not that i care…but looks like a possible chella add…did they play last year?…
I guess when someone finally decides to come to Miami, I have no right to complain about it not being a weekend show. (But that would be better!)
fuckers need to come back to toronto.
the september show sold out in 3 mins and i didn’t get tix.
then they did short tour in december but the closest was montreal.
no this? meh.
well holy shit! Livenation actually booked a a great artist down here!!! Maybe nearly selling out the Fillmore for Wilco finally woke them up….
