Here’s cause for a party. Andrew W.K. (or the current incarnation of Andrew W.K.) will be taking to NYC’s Irving Plaza this March 16th for his first public concert with a full band in over five years. This one-off show, which will come just a week before the musician is set to release his “lost” third album, Close Calls With Brick Walls, will see WK also supported by The Dirty Pearls and Chainsaw Trio. A party to say the least, one of just many more to come in the weeks ahead.

Andrew W.K. will then launch into a slew of upcoming tour dates, first rolling on through D.C, and the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, TN, and then stopping by SXSW for a few shows, including some more full band performances and one playing bass for Thurston Moore’s Society’s Ills. After a short break, he’s off to the rest of the United States with stops in Canada for this summer’s Warped Tour. Partying will probably ensue.

This past Tuesday, when his shows were announced, Andrew held the “Ask Andrew W.K. Anything” event at Santos House Party, his personally-owned venue in Manhattan. Andrew bared all, answering any of the sold-out crowd’s queries. Here’s a clip of the forum and the rest is available here. Once again, it was a party.
