After teasing with this humorous NSFW video on Valentine’s Day, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and label Drag City have finally made it officially: the musician born Will Oldham, accompanied by one of great beards in today’s music, has teamed up with The Cairo Gang, aka singer/songwriter Emmett Kelly, for a brand new album!

Set to come out March 23rd, The Wonder Show of the World will see the two acclaimed musicians renew a collaboration that has already generated 2006′s The Letting Go and 2009′s Lie Down In The Light. This particular effort features 10 tracks and, based on past history, Oldman’s ability to layer fragile, haunting melodies over classic, acoustic America folk should prove to be a particular highlight.

One such example, this in the form of the non-album track “Play, Guitar, Play”, can be heard below (via P4k). Pre-orders for both the LP or CD are now ongoing.
