Broken Social Scene title, color, and tease new record

Come May 4th, everyone’s favorite Canadian indie super group, Broken Social Scene, will get all the kids together (Feist, Millan, Metric, Collett, etc.), as well as a few equally high-profile newcomers (Spiral Stairs, Doug McCombs, John McEntire, etc.), to release the band’s much anticipated fourth studio album.

As revealed today (per Pitchfork), the followup to 2005′s Broken Social Scene will sport the title Forgiveness Rock Record, artwork that shows red seas, yellow skylines, and a bunch of terrified individuals, and a lives-up-to-its-title song called “World Sick” (download for free below). Remember, this won’t be a record for the faint of heart, as frontman Kevin Drew noted, “We’ve always been a band that sings about exactly what’s inside of us and exactly what’s happening outside as well.”

Forgiveness Rock Record will see release on May 4th via Arts & Crafts. Upcoming tour dates below.
