Midlake brings live show back to the states

Midlake‘s musical explorations continue to grow since their formation as a jazz/funk band 11 years ago in Denton, TX. The five piece, with minor line-up changes, has since shifted their sound from their jazz roots, first to lo-fi electronica, then classic-rock revivalism, and most recently reflect late 1960′s British folk-rock with The Courage of Others release. Since signing with UK based Bella Luna Records in 2006 and gaining popularity across the pond, the band’s touring schedule has been equally explorative. So far in 2010, the band has yet to pause, and with an album to promote in the states and festival season approaching, Midlake will continue this trek into early June.

Since commencing its 2010 tour, Midlake has played venues across the Southern US, nearly every city in the UK, traveled through the rest of Europe, are set to visit the West Coast in March, and have recently added more dates in France and the Netherlands, plus performances scattered through the heart of the US. With locations ranging from Austin’s SXSW, Denton’s own NX35, Sasquatch! in Washington, Missoula, Aspen, and Lubbock, these Texans know how to plan a road-trip, and ensure that every ear has an opportunity to experience their growth into an can’t miss live experience. A complete listing up the up-to-date tour schedule is below.  Tickets to most dates are now available via Ticketmaster.
