Now a few things we should note about the two month endeavor, which kicks off on March 6th in New York and sees the band traveling throughout the U.S — highlighted by multiple appearances SXSW 2010 and a show with Ted Leo! — before wrapping things up on May 24th in their home state:
First, they need some places to stay. Explains Titus Andronicus: “Will you please let us come and sleep over at yr house after the show when we come to yr town? Accomidations need not be anything special at all – a floor and a ceiling are our only two requirements, though beds/couches/beanbags/etc. are always nice. If you will agree to let us come over, we will make it so that you can come to the show for free!”
Second, they need some more places to play. Apparently, two month’s of non-stop touring with limited off days is not enough for the boys. So, they’re looking to fill the gaps: “I guess what I am trying to say is, if you want Titus Andronicus to come to yr town on one of those off days, we will do it. We are happy to play at yr house/community center/church basement/whatever. All you have to do is ask. Here are the days that we are looking to be constructively occupied, and roughly the areas we’d like to do it:”
03/25 – between Santa Barbara, CA and Visalia, CA
03/29 – between San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA (not Portland, though)
04/03 – between Missoula, MT and Fargo, ND
04/06 – between Minneapolis, MN and Chicago, IL
04/21 – between Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH
If you’re interested in helping them out with either or both of the requests, shoot ‘em an email. Now, on to their confirmed tour dates. (Note: A certain appearance at a certain Austin related event we’ve been talking about over the last month is currently omitted. More details next week. HINT! HINT! HINT!)
