Passion Pit, one of 2010′s various festival whores, has a new video out, and it pretty much summarizes everything that encompasses the high-energy synthpop band. The video is for “Little Secrets”, the third single from the much-lauded 2009 album Manners, and it is a veritable hipster weirdo dance party.

The clip begins with a sexy lady bringing home some groceries, and she opens the door into a dimly-lit and smoky room full of people with paper bags on their heads. This would tip off an alarm for most, but our heroine is intrigued — because of course, it’s just a bunch of anonymous people (get it? “let this be our little secret”) dancing to an irresistibly charming Passion Pit performance!

The brown-baggers begin with frowny faces but as the show goes on and a copious amount of confetti begins to drop — and everyone in the room gets “higher and higher and higher” — the frowns are, naturally, turned upside down.

It’s a quirky video by a quirky band, and you can watch it over at MTV, which premiered it today.
