As per tradition, for at least a year now, we spend every afternoon going through our inbox and keeping a list of the upcoming new music releases. Then, every three months — or “quarter” in music industry lingo — we present you with a list of what’s due out over the next four months. This way, we can keep track of what to review and you can plan out what to buy/stream/download/etc. A win win for everyone involved.

The second quarter of 2010 offers a particular unique situation, as, in addition to an already massive slate of worthwhile new releases (LCD Soundsystem, Deftones, The National, The Hold Steady, etc.), there’s also the inclusion of Record Store Day on April 17th, aka the greatest day ever in which our favorite labels offer exclusive releases from our favorite artists.
