English singer/songwriter Jamie Lidell will be hitting the road next month, playing a handful of shows in support of his upcoming, Feist and Beck-featuring album, Compass. He’ll kick things off towards the end of April with a couple of warm-up shows before the record’s release on May 18th.

His first concert of the year will take place on April 27th in New York City, followed by a show in California on the 29th. Both shows will serve as preview gigs of the new album. After a month in Europe, his trek will return to North America, starting in Philadelphia on June 9th. A string of shows in America and Canada will take up the middle of June with the tour currently slated to end on July 31st in Montreal.

For those of you who can’t wait until April for a preview of Compass, lead single “The Ring” is currently streaming on Lidell’s MySpace along with the music video for the track.
