U.K., Johnny Marr-featuring indie rockers The Cribs will soon reissue their 2004 self-titled debut album (pre-Marr) on vinyl, the first time the record will be released in the format. A release date is yet to be confirmed. It looks like this is coming out on Record Store Day, aka April 17th.

The reissue will include a bonus disc of early demos, specifically the ones that were impressive enough to get them a deal. Something about that idea feels a little like seeing a clip of an NBA player dunking on someone in high school. Not bad for a bonus.

In fact, this won’t be the only goodie The Cribs will offer this year  — the day after the band shows up to Coachella, it will release a split vinyl single with The Thermals for Record Store Day on April 17th. The Cribs’ contribution to the record will be 2009 B-side “So Hot Now”, while The Thermals contribute their track “Separate”.
