Only a couple of dates in their current tour, it seems that trouble arrives for the Stone Temple Pilots. At their Milwaukee show this past Friday, frontman Scott Weiland stumbled through a couple of songs towards the end of the band’s set, prompting guitarist Dean DeLeo to assist him and eventually walk off-stage.

Blabbermouth pulled some quotes from fans, who posted on a message board shortly after. You can read the whole report here, as it is quite the lengthy read, but we love this line: “Dean actually came up and played his guitar with the neck stuck between Weiland’s legs at one point.” That must have been quite the sight, huh?

Fan footage revealed the incident, though Warner Bros. has asked it to be removed, which it has been. Shady? You be the judge. Keep in mind though that nothing happened the following night in Chicago (otherwise we would have reported it, since we were there), but admittedly that show was being taped.

If true, are any of you surprised? Weiland’s prime source of inspiration, after all, is Jim “You’re all fuckin’ slaves!” Morrison. If anything, we should be excited to see this type of chaos.
