You wouldn’t expect anything but epic from Coheed and Cambria, which includes any of the videos they put out. While some of their other videos saw battles between man and vampire-zombie-demon monster hybrids, the video for “The Broken”, the first song off their new album Year of the Black Rainbow, blows that away. And all it took were some killer robots.

The animated video plays like a five-minute Hollywood sci-fi blockbuster. We’re not sure which alien race did what and to whom, but if you like battles between mechanized dinosaurs and crazy city-sized warships, then this is your video. It also doesn’t help that it’s a pretty decent track of metal the C&C way.

You can check the band out on tour starting March 23rd in Rochester, NY. Year of the Black Rainbow hits stores April 13th.
