Prior to their weekend set at Coachella, Them Crooked Vultures took to Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night for what will probably be their last performance on late night television for some time. (If you didn’t know, Foo Fighters are already working on a new album, while Queens of the Stone Age have begun mapping out late summer tour dates). So, with that in mind, one could consider the Kimmel! Live performance as Them Crooked Vultures’ farewell performance — the last time anyone outside of Indio or the few remaining locations scheduled on the band’s upcoming tour dates will be able to witness the awesomeness of selections such as “Gunman” and “Mind Eraser, No Chaser” from a live setting for the foreseeable future.
Take it in, people. It’s worth the watch. (Below, also check out the band’s up-to-date touring schedule. Also, remember on April 17th, aka this Saturday, aka Record Store Day, Them Crooked Vultures will release a special, limited edition 10″ picture featuring live cuts of “Mind Eraser, No Chaser” and “Hwy 1″.
